The Amemori Way — Caring for Your Candle, Honouring Its Story
Each Amemori candle is a small world of its own — a blend of light, scent, and silence.
Like my art, I believe that all things are constantly changing. Each creation breathes, evolves, softens, and blends — just like life itself.
The colors may shift, the layers may merge, and every burn reveals something new.
That’s part of their beauty — the quiet poetry of transformation.
The First Burn — Where Memory Begins
Your candle remembers its first light.
When you burn it for the first time, let it melt all the way to the edges. This simple patience teaches the wax how to remember its shape — ensuring it burns evenly and beautifully ever after.
This is what we call the memory burn. It’s a gentle promise between you and the flame.
The Art of a Perfect Burn
Before each new light, trim your wick to about 5mm.
This keeps the flame calm and steady, preventing smoke and soot.
Always burn your candle on a flat, heat-safe surface, away from drafts or moving air.
And never use the jar cover to snuff out your candle — the trapped heat and pressure can cause the glass to crack or even explode.
Use a candle snuffer, or gently blow it out once the wax has softened and glowed.
Candles are meant to be cared for, not hurried.
Why Your Candle Sweats, Tunnels, or Mushrooms
Because Amemori candles are made from natural soya and coconut wax, they respond to their environment.
A little sweat or frosting is nature’s way of showing the wax is pure — free from stabilizing chemicals.
If your candle tunnels, it’s simply asking for more time. Let it burn a little longer next time, until the wax melts evenly.
If the wick mushrooms, trim it slightly before relighting.
None of these are flaws — they’re part of the candle’s conversation with you.
Of Scents and Surprises
Every Amemori fragrance is layered — blended to shift and reveal different notes as they warm.
No two burns are exactly the same. Sometimes the scent blooms slowly, sometimes it lingers after the flame has gone — just like memories that stay even when moments pass.
Some collectors choose not to burn them at all, keeping the jars closed and occasionally lifting the lid just to enjoy the fragrance within.
However you experience them, they’re meant to bring a quiet joy — in stillness or in light.
What Makes Amemori Clean
Each candle is hand-poured with natural soya and coconut wax, sometimes kissed with beeswax or clear gel for art pieces.
Our fragrance oils are phthalate-free, paraben-free, and non-toxic, crafted without carcinogens or harmful additives.
This ensures a burn that is safe, refined, and kind — to both your space and the world we share.
A New Life After the Last Flame
When the last flicker fades, your Amemori jar is ready to begin again.
Place it in a ziplock bag and freeze it for a few hours; the leftover wax will pop out easily.
Wash gently with warm water and mild soap.
You’ll have a beautiful vessel — perfect for holding jewelry, keepsakes, dried flowers, or simply to stand empty, as a reminder of moments once illuminated.
Everything changes. Everything continues — just in another form.
